About the Mental Health and Small Business Conference

Healthy You. Healthy Business.
Running a small business is rewarding, but it can also be incredibly lonely. Since our inaugural event in 2023, the Mental Health and Small Business One Day Conference has been dedicated to ensuring that sole traders, solopreneurs, and small business owners never have to feel they are dealing with it all "alone".

Now entering our 4th annual conference in 2026, we have built a vibrant community where the "water cooler" talk of a big office meets the specialised support of mental health professionals. Founded by Kate Llewellyn (The Content Consultancy), Sharon May (Kingsclere Counselling Service), and Adrian Hammill (Hammill Consulting), this event was born from a shared passion for normalising conversations around mental health and providing a "corporate wellness day" experience for those who work for themselves.

Our Mission

We aim to remove the stigma of mental health in the business world while raising vital funds for local charities like Andover Mind. Whether it’s through our expert-led panel sessions, personal mental health check-ins, or networking with a room full of "colleagues" who truly get it, our goal is to help you invest in your most important business asset: yourself.

Join us as we celebrate four years of connection, support, and growth.

The Organisers

- Kate Llewellyn -
Content Writer and Consultant

The Content Consultancy

I love supporting small businesses. It is why I set up The Content Club, an online membership, that supports overwhelmed business owners to learn more about content creation, and to address the anxiety and imposter feelings that can sometime show up, when we need to be visible online.

- Sharon May -
Humanistic Counsellor and Practice Manager

Kingsclere Counselling Service

I am passionate about normalising the conversations around mental health, and helping other small business owners, particularly those balancing self employment around family commitments.

- Adrian Hammill -
Transition and Career Coach

Hammill Consulting

I am a personal career and business coach as well as a mentor, in parallel to my role as an IT Security Professional. I have deep interest in the challenges faced with mental health and neurodiversity. I am also a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
